The Division of Accounts and Reports prepares the Annual Financial Report of
the State of Kansas. This report has been converted to a Comprehensive Annual
Financial Report (CAFR) and has been prepared in conformance with Governmental
Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements 34 and 35. The objective of this
new reporting model is to provide a clear picture of the government as a single,
unified entity as well as providing traditional fund based financial statements.
This report is presented in three sections: the Introductory Section,
which includes the transmittal letter, the organizational chart and a listing of
selected officials, the Financial Section, which includes the
independent auditors' report, Management's Discussion and Analysis, the
basic financial statements and notes, the Required Supplementary Information and
the Other Supplementary Information; and the Statistical Section, which
includes unaudited tables and financial trend information.
