Design & ConstructionDFM has begun using an on-line plan room and no longer distributes documents and addenda for bidding purposes. Plans and specifications are being distributed through an online planroom “Integrated Digital Technologies”. This site requires a free registration so all interested parties can access the plans and specifications and be notified of additional addendum postings. Contractors may download the documents for printing in-house, view them on line, have them sent to a printing comapny or have a printing company download the documents. There is a fee of $7.50 from IDT to bundle and send to a printing company. This is not the printing cost. Printing costs are charged by the printing company when the documents are ordered by the contractor. Contractors, subcontractors and suppliers are responsible for understanding the scope of the work involved in these documents and for obtaining the appropriate documents for their work.
