Notice is hereby given of the commencement of negotiations for engineering services for the design and replacement of elevators in various buildings at the University of Kansas Medical Center campus in Kansas City, Kansas and the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, Kansas. The objective of this project is to replace old, unreliable elevator equipment with new state of the art, code compliant equipment and controls. It is anticipated that the project will be bid in several bid packages with replacement work extending over two years. The budget for the project is approximately $2,400,000. By statutory definition, "firm" means such individual, firm, partnership, corporation, association, or other legal entity which is permitted by law to practice the profession of architecture, engineering or land surveying in accordance with Kansas Board of Technical Professions.
