State Thanks
& Recognition (STAR) Employee Discount Program The Star Employee Discount Program offers State of Kansas employees an opportunity to take advantage of product and service discounts offered by various vendors throughout the state by identifying themselves as State of Kansas employees (usually showing a State Employee ID badge or recent paycheck stub). Businesses categories within the program include restaurants, clothing stores, computers, home improvement, lodging, sporting goods, and jewelers, plus many more categories. Discount offers range from restaurants offering up to a 20% discount on food to automobile dealerships offering $250.00 over dealer invoice for certain new automobiles. The program is successful because of employee participation. That participation includes frequenting the businesses listed on the site and also soliciting new businesses to join the STAR program.
