Code of Conduct

We must take seriously the special responsibility public service requires and value participating in the work of government. As public servants, we strive to serve the public with respect, concern and responsiveness and to demonstrate the highest standards of personal integrity, truthfulness and honesty in all public activities. Because we serve the public, it is particularly important that we conduct ourselves in a manner that assures and promotes the public’s trust in Kansas state government.

ETHICS BROCHURE

It is in this spirit that the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission was established and the code of conduct for Kansas government employees was written. This code prohibits certain actions by State employees.
