Entry-level Corrections Officer position in multi-custody adult felon facility. This is formal and on-the-job training in corrections work enforcing laws, rules and regulations. Applicants must be 19 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a valid Kansas driver's license, and must have passed the written Corrections Officer Test. Candidates cannot have been convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence crime as defined by federal law and must be free of any felony convictions. Drug screen and pre-employment physical required.
Veterans Preference Eligible (VPE): Former military personnel or their spouse who have been verified under K.S.A. 73-201 will be offered an interview if they meet the "selection criteria" for this position.
