This is formal on the job training in corrections work. Be free of felony convictions, HS Grad or GED and at least 19 years of age, free of domestic violence convictions as defined by federal law. Not had a DUI within the last 2 years. Drug test is required at time of hire. If you are not currently employed by the KDOC in a uniformed position, you must have passed the COT. Must furnish copy of Valid Drivers License, High School Diploma/GED Birth Certificate, and Social Security Card at time of testing. Veteran Preference Eligible (VPE): This position is eligible for veterans¿ preference. Interested veterans must submit a DD-214 to the Department of Administration to be verified as a veteran under K.S.A. 73-201 prior to the vacancy close date.
