Responsibilities: The purpose of this position is to provide on grounds safety and security to the people who live and work at KNI and to KNI property. This includes patrolling by vehicle and foot, bicycle as available locating, pursuing elopement and suspicious persons, making outside and inside building checks, responding and assisting in emergency situations and enforcing appropriate laws and regulations. Performs routine building inspections such as emergency lighting and code compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must pass a criminal background check
Must take and pass a pre-employment drug screening test
Able to work independently, stand and walk for long periods of time.
Able to work in work in extreme heat and cold temperatures.
Able to move, lift in excess of 15 lbs. unassisted by others.
Ability to be use discretion for reasonable suspicion in matters that could jeopardize the safety of the people who live and work here.
Ability to work various hours, weekends and holidays.
Valid Driver’s License
Travel when required
Preferred Criteria:
One-year previous Safety and Security experience.
Salary: $12.00 per hour
Shift: Varies, approximately 16 hours per week.
