2011 Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program
Effective 8/2/11 through 10/31/11
On August 2, 2011, the State of Kansas announced a Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program that provides incentives to eligible, State of Kansas employees in the Executive Branch who offer to retire between August 2, 2011 and September 19, 2011. On August 31, 2011, the program was extended through October 31, 2011. Anyone wishing to participate in this Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program is encouraged to consult with an attorney and financial or tax advisor prior to signing the General Release Agreement.
Employees with questions regarding this Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program should visit with the Human Resource office of the agency in which they work. Employees with questions regarding retirement or group health insurance coverage may also contact KPERS or the staff from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment who administer the State Employee Health Benefits Plan.
