The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) currently is recruiting for the following KPRC Intake Specialist positions in the Kansas Protection and Prevention Division.  These positions are located in Topeka, KS.  The rate of pay is $34,000.00.

Interview individuals making reports of children in need of care or suspected adult abuse/neglect/exploitation through phone contact using in-depth interviewing techniques.   Complete intakes from faxes and other written documentation. Follow agency policy and will have working knowledge of the intake process, policies, and procedures.  

Minimum Requirements/Education –  Two years of college or two years of work experience in the Kansas Protection Report Center.

The available shifts are: 
Monday-Friday 3p-11p; M-F and/or 9a-6p M-F
Tuesday-Saturday - 7a-3:30p;
Sunday-Thursday - 3p-11p

Security Clearance: A background check (KBI – criminal background, welfare fraud, driver’s license, and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check.  Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF.
