The Division of Purchases and the Division of Accounts and Reports are in the
process of determining the credit card needs of state agencies. Internet and electronic
commerce applications are increasingly requiring the state to be able to accept credit
card payments from citizens and companies in the continental United States, as well as
internationally.
We would appreciate your taking the time to complete the attached survey [attached to hard copy circulars mailed to state agencies] as it pertains to your agency. If it is more appropriate to complete multiple surveys within your agency for different programs, that is preferable. Please return the survey by October 6, 1999 to the Division of Accounts and Reports, 900 S.W. Jackson, Room 351-S, Topeka, KS 66612-1248, Attention: Jerry Serk. This survey will be used in the development of a statewide contract to procure a vendor to administer a statewide system for accepting credit card payments.
