[Reset a User's Password] [Set/change a user's authorities in a group
[Restrict A User's Authorities to Certain Journal Voucher (JV) Types

Change your Password

A user can change his/her own password. The system does not require a user to change his/her password periodically.

If you are a group supervisor, agency supervisor, or auditor, use the following path: Agencies and Contacts, User Profile Maintenance, Select a User. Select yourself from the dropdown box and click Modify the chosen profile. If not, use the following path: Agencies and Contacts, User Profile Maintenance. Immediately after clicking on User Profile Maintenance, the user will be at his/her user profile page ready for the next step.

On the Modify a User Profile page, type your new password in the New Password and Repeat New Password fields, then click the Modify the User button.

If a user forgets his/her password, a group supervisor in the user's group can reset the password for the user. Refer to Reset a user's password for procedures.

Log On/Off to SOKI3+ Test or SOKI3+

The SOKI3+ system is located on a server within the State Treasurer's network. The server is behind a firewall and is backed up each week-day evening by the nightly processes currently in use by Treasurer DP staff. In addition, the site operates a 128-bit SSL encryption key verified by VeriSign. All users must be using a browser capable of connections to SSL enabled sites. Anyone residing behind a firewall wishing to connect to the site must allow access through port 443. If your agency has trouble connecting, please call your technical support staff for assistance.

A test system, SOKI3+ Test, identical to SOKI3+ is available to users for practice. To help users identify which system they are in, a red "Test System" will appear at the upper right corner of each page in SOKI3+ Test.

To access SOKI3+ Test or SOKI3+, a user must have: 1) a User Name and Password to access the system. For both SOKI3+ Test and SOKI3+, the User Name and Password are provided when the agency is set up by Accounts and Reports. 2) an Operator ID and Password to identify the user to the system. the Operator ID and Password are obtained from Form DA-116 or DA-116a. The same Operator ID and Password should be used for both SOKI3+ Test and SOKI3+.

The steps to log on to the systems are as follows:

  1. Use this site to log on to SOKI3+ Test:   www.test.interfunds.state.ks.us

Use this site to log on to SOKI3+https://www.interfunds.state.ks.us/cgi-win/index.kst

  2. For both SOKI3+ Test and SOKI3+: Use the User Name and Password (password must be entered in lowercase) provided when your agency was set up by Accounts and Reports.

  3. Enter your operator ID (from Form DA-116 or DA-116a). Use the same operator ID and password for both SOKI3+ Test and SOKI3+. SOKI3+ Test is independent from SOKI3+,   new users will have to be added to each system separately.  The first time you log on, use your assigned operator ID as your password. You will then be prompted to enter a new password, which you will then use.

  4. Click Log Me On or Log Me Off to log on or off.

Obtain Access/Change Agency Primary Contact

Obtain Access for an Agency: Each agency must designate a primary agency contact when signing the agreement to participate in SOKI3+ and submit it to the Audit Services Team in the Division of Accounts and Reports. The Division of Accounts and Reports then establishes access for this individual in the agency/default group. Form DA-116 can be found at http://www.da.ks.gov/ar/forms/.

The primary contact can add users and groups to the agency/default group. Once other users are set up, the primary contact can set up other users to be agency supervisors or the agency default contact. There can be multiple agency supervisors, but only one agency default contact in the agency.

Change Primary Contact: Agencies can not change the agency primary contacts themselves. If the primary contact person needs to be changed, the agency shall immediately submit a new DA-116 form to the Division of Accounts and Reports, Central Accounting Services Section Manager.

For obtaining access for other users, refer to Add a user to a group.

Reset a User's Password

If a user forgets his/her password, a group supervisor in the user's group can reset the password for the user. After the reset, the user must use his/her operator ID as the password to sign on for the first time. The user will then be prompted to change his/her password.

Use the following path: Agencies and Contacts, User Profile Maintenance, Select a User. Select the user from the drop down box and click Modify the chosen profile.

On the Modify a User Profile page, click the Reset User Password button.

Set/change a user's authorities in a group

Only an agency supervisor can designate or remove the agency supervisor authority from a user in the agency. A group supervisor in the user's group can modify the user's group authorities. Form DA-116a should be completed for the changes for each user. Completed form DA-116a's should be maintained in agency files - unlike DA-116's, they do not have to be sent to the Division of Accounts and Reports. Form DA-116a can be found at http://www.da.ks.gov/ar/forms/.

A user's profile can be modified using either one of the two methods listed below. Option 1 can be used only by individuals that have group or agency supervisor access to the group for which the user has authorities. Option 2 can be used only by individuals that have group or agency supervisor access to the group which originally added the user. The philosophy behind the two entry points for this function is that a user with access to a group should have his/her access be modifiable by his/her own supervisor as well as the leaders of the group to which he/she has access.

  1. Use the following path: Agencies and Contacts, Group Profile Maintenance, Modify a Group Profile. Select the group the user (to be modified) is in from the drop down box and click Modify the chosen profile.

On the Modify Group Profile page, scroll to the Current Group Access User Profiles section at the bottom of the page, click Modify on the user's profile line.

On the Modify a Group User's Profile page, check or uncheck the authorities as needed, then click the Modify the User Group Access button.
  2. Use the following path: Agencies and Contacts, User Profile Maintenance, Select a User. Select the user from the drop down box and click Modify the chosen profile.

On the Modify a User Profile page, scroll to the bottom of the page, click Modify on the user's profile line.

On the Modify a Group User's Profile page, check or uncheck the authorities as needed, then click the Modify the User Group Access button.

Restrict A User's Authorities to Certain Journal Voucher (JV) Types

If a user was given the JV entry, approval, or release authority, his/her authority can be further restricted to certain types of JVs by the persons authorized to modify the user's authority - see Set/Change a User's Authorities in A Group above for who can modify a user's access. The Restrict JV Type Usage page can be accessed using either one of the following:

  1. Use the following path: Agencies and Contacts, Group Profile Maintenance, Modify a Group Profile. Select the group the user (to be modified) is in from the drop down box and and click Modify the chosen profile.

On the Modify Group Profile page, scroll to the Current Group Access User Profiles section at the bottom of the page, click the Restrict JVs link on the user's profile line.
  2. Use the following path: Agencies and Contacts, User Profile Maintenance, Select a User. Select the user from the drop down box and click Modify the chosen profile.

On the Modify a User Profile page, scroll to the bottom of the page, click Modify on the user's profile line.

On the Restrict JV Types Usage page, select the appropriate types, then click on the Modify the JV Type Restrictions button at the bottom of the page.
